Nandrolone was first described in 1960 and for its unique features has become one of the most popular anabolics in the world. Structurally very similar to testosterone, but lacks carbon 19 (i.e. CH3 methyl group on carbon 10).It is therefore referred to as "19-nortestosterone. "Its popularity stems from the fact that it has significant anabolic effects accompanied by only a minimal androgenic effect. In terms of the ratio of anabolic effects and side effects, it is therefore sometimes considered to be the best ever steroid. It binds well to androgen receptors.
